The SLY 53 is an exceptionally-designed Fast Cruiser. Innovative and classic elements are blended together in straight, clean and very elegant lines, free from dictates of fashion or tonnage measurements. A generous sail plan, very limited displacement thanks to a construction entirely in carbon, and efficient attachments offer high performances in all conditions and speeds. This unit has a dark grey hull with teak deck and carbon mast (on a male mould), and it is equipped with a hydraulic mainsail furler on the boom, electric jib furler, bow thruster, crew cabin, generator and watermaker. In 2018, new upholsteries were installed. The engine was replaced in April 2017 and it currently has 120 engine hours only. In 2016, the hull was cleaned from all previous antifouling layers and a news Simrad GPS was installed. This unit is also equipped with 6 Harken winches (4 electric ones), Bamar 4-way hydraulic power unit (Mast Jack, backstay, vang), air-conditioning, indoor and outdoor Bose sound system, and 2 electric Tecma toilets.

SLY YACHTS shipyard was founded in Cesena (Northern Italy) in 2005 with the idea to introduce something new on sailboats market. Sly Yachts’ boats are designed by Lostuzzi Yacht Design & Engineering studio, which is at the forefront in designing sailboats able to perform well both as a Racer and as a Cruiser. The shipyard is indeed specialized in manufacturing Fast Cruiser between 38’ and 61’, all made in carbon. Sly boats are characterized by a broad cockpit, an open stern, as well as by a generous sail plan and a limited displacement; all these features help achieve optimal performances even with light winds. Mast, spacers, boom, bowsprit and steering gear are made in carbon fiber on all models, as standard equipment. In 2010, Sly Yachts was purchased by Cantiere del Pardo S.p.A. and renamed Sly Marine.
