The Phantom 48 by Fairline is a Flybridge that was specifically designed for family cruises; the deck area is characterized by the impressive flying bridge, that can be accessed from the cockpit though a teak staircase. The cockpit is very spacious, with a floor area of about 8m2. The upper deck is split ind two areas: a second control station in the middle, and an open-air saloon in the aft section with an ample sofa. The interior of the Phantom 48 is very bright thanks to its wide windows. The full-beam master cabin, amidships, is equipped with a studio area, private bathroom and 3 panoramic windows. The bow VIP cabin guarantees a luxury stay for guests, while the starboard cabin is furnished with two bunk beds that can be closed. The Phantom 48 is a very strong boat, that allows for a smooth and safe cruising even with bad weather conditions.

Fairline history began in 1963 in Oundle (Northamptonshir, UK), when the company was founded by Jack Newington, a builder of motor boats. The first Fairine was launched in 1967, and it was a 19 footer in plastic reinforced in fiberglass for river navigation. In 1971, his son Sam took charge of the company and expanded the overseas sales network in order to take advantage of the Mediterranean market growth. At that time, company growth was further consolidated by the huge success of the Fairline 40. In the 80s, Fairline began to develop yachts able to reach high speeds and, in 1986, the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its overseas market activity. Sam Newington retired in 1996 and the company further expanded with the creation of Fairline Boats of North America, Inc. The Fairline Owner Club was founded in 2003 to reunite Fairline boat owners, whereas in 2006 the company was acquired by 3i group. In the same year, the Fairline Targa 38 was launched, and in 2007 this boat won the European Powerboat of the Year award for the category between 30 and 40 feet (9-12 mt). The company was renamed Fairline Yachts Ltd. after the acquisition by the Rusian businessman Alexander Volvo, in January 2016. In September 2018, the Targa 43 Open was launched and it won the award as “Best Exterior Design” at the World Yacht Trophies. In 2019, the Targa 43 Open also won the Moto Boats Award in the Sportscruiser category up to 45′. View the online brochure here.
