Marina d’Arechi

The Marina d’Arechi opened in 2012 and was completed in 2017; it is located on an island off Salerno’s southern coast, and it was designed by Santiago Calatrava. It is considered one of the most modern marinas for pleasure yachting in the Mediterranean. The marina is characterized by the excellent integration with the surrounding natural environment, as well as by a breakwater entirely made in mosaic-fitted natural rocks with inclined planes, in order to neutralize the effect of waves and backwash.

The Marina d’Arechi guarantees safety to vessel of every type and size, in all sea and wind conditions and in all seasons. The overall water surface is 340,000 sqm, with 1,000 berth ranging from 10 to 100 meters in length.

The Marina d’Arechi is certified by HR Wallingford Institute, world leader in marine hydraulic engineering, for its compliance with the highest protection and safety requirements. The Marina d’Arechi is located east of Salerno, near Amalfi Coast (8 miles from Amalfi and 12 from Positano); Capri island (23 miles north of the marina); Cilento coast (23 miles south) and the archaeological site of Paestum (35 km) to the south.

Salerno-Pontecagnano airport is a few kilometers away, whereas Naples International Airport (Capodichino) is located 65 kms away. Among Salerno’s main tourist sights we find: Arechi Castle, the Cathedral with the Monumental Complex of Santa Sofia, the Minerva Gardens and the medieval aqueduct. Several events are organized in the Marina, such as Salerno Boat Show and the SuperJump master classes dedicated to fitness enthusiasts. Marina d’Arechi Port Village houses restaurants, lounge bars and shops, while the “Marina Beach” is located right next to the Marina d’Arechi.
