La storia

La storia del cantiere britannico Sunseeker ebbe inizio nel 1969; fu allora che Robert Braithwaite avviò la produzione di imbarcazioni da lui progettate. La prima imbarcazione ad essere varata fu la Sovereign 17, nel 1971, subito seguita dalla Sovereign 20. Nel 1972 l'azienda era pronta a partecipare al Salone di Southampton e ad incontrare nuovi clienti. Sull'onda di questo primo successo, l'azienda poté rispondere alla crescente domanda di imbarcazioni da diporto, lanciando i modelli Sport 23 e Daycab 23. Alla fine degli anni '70, Sunseeker aveva un buon volume di vendite, in Inghilterra come in Europa settentrionale.     Tuttavia, mirava ancora a imporsi sul fiorente mercato Mediterraneo, creando imbarcazioni con stile e prestazioni sempre più elevati; tra queste l’Offshore 28, un cabinato di nuova concezione. Negli anni ’80, il cantiere Sunseeker riuscì a differenziarsi ulteriormente dalla concorrenza; sono questi gli anni di imbarcazioni come il Portofino 31 e dell’incredibile Tomahawk 37. Negli anni ’90, lo stile divenne un elemento ancora più importante per il cantiere; a quest'epoca risale la creazione di modelli quali il Renegade 60 e il Predator 80.     A partire dal 2000, il cantiere Sunseeker accelera ulteriormente il passo, con il lancio di modelli quali il 105 Yacht, 131 Yacht. Oggi Sunseeker International può contare su una efficiente squadra di oltre 2.000 designer, progettisti e artigiani di grande esperienza, sostenuti da un'ampia rete di oltre 80 punti vendita e centri assistenza, che gli consente di esportare circa 140 yacht ogni anno in più di 45 Paesi.
