History
Rhea Marine founder Bertrand Danglade may be said to have been "born on a boat", throughout his professional life he has traveled this universe and is on the banks of the River Clyde in England, the place of the great legendary yachts, who built the bases in acquiring the flavor of wood and its aesthetics, its refinement, the sense of measure and hull shapes.
While continuing to sail, he builds the Naval shipyard of the Ile de Ré where the trade, fitting, restoration and maintenance of all boat models and in particular the small boats of Marennes which represent the most charming production of the ports on the 'Atlantic. It is under the pressure of his numerous customers and friends who say to him: "Bertrand, build a boat for us" which was born in 1996 Rhea Marine.
The first of a long series of boats left the shipyard a few months later: "This is the boat for us ... finally !!" A solid, simple, but good quality boat, with the hull designed by architect Michel Joubert and built with attention to detail, with much love, by a sailor for sea lovers and respectful of great maritime traditions. The recent inauguration of a new construction site in La Rochelle, large and equipped with modern and technological equipment, allows us to respond to the growing demand and still maintain the Rhea spirit.
Bertrand Danglade is very close to customers and friends and loves his boats so much that he does not hesitate to board his plane to provide assistance or to mount an accessory requested by the owner by flying over all the skies of Europe . The Rhea Marine shipyard has several model series in production: Open, Timonier and Trawler.
