Modello FAREAST 31R

The FAREAST 31R is a racer entirely manufactured in carbon fiber with vinylester (through the vacuum infusion technique). Captivating design with the 2 spoilers on the starboards, shaped in order to optimize the air flow within the staysail and maximize the performances of this racer, able to reach beyond 20 knots. The carbon bowsprit is integrated into the hull. The Fareast 31R was designed with only one goal in mind: to be the fastest Racer in the 31ft range. Therefore, the hull and keel were built with great care, and are able to withstand very demanding conditions.

Cantiere FAR EAST YACHT

Founded in 2001, Fareast has become the most prestigious and authoritative boat builder in China, and it is specialized in sailboats between 23 and 36 feet. The company also paved the way for sailing clubs and for the growth of the sailing industry in the Asian country. In 2017, Fareast organized the first Fareast 28R World Cup. Simonis-Voogd Design was founded in 1991 from the partnership between Alexander Simonis and Maarten Voogd, two awarded designers and naval architects with offices in the Netherlands and South Africa. In its 26 years of business, this Yacht Design studio completed more than 200 projects with notable difference among them, from the small 1983 Hobie to the unique Mega Maxi Nicorette I and III (90 ft, 2000 and 2004), as well as Les Folies (85 ft, 1999). From 2005 on, Simonis-Voogd Design designed some models produced by thefamous Dehler shipyard. The boats designed by the studio have also won several ocean races, such as: the victories at Sydney Hobart race (in 2000 with Nicorette II and in 2004 with Nicorette III), as well as Cape2Rio Yacht Race (in 1993 with Morning Glory, in 2000 with Zephyrus IV, and in 2003 with Baleka) and the Yeoman Cup (2008).
