History

It was 1985 when the Balducci family founded the Mangusta brand, choosing a symbolic and prophetic name. At that time, the reference brand for fast open boats was Tecnomarine's Cobra. A primacy that the Balduccis want to challenge by adopting the name of the mongoose, the only animal in the world capable of facing and defeating the cobra. Thus were born Elettromare, Effebi and, then, Overmarine Group. A family owned and run group, which is now in its second generation, with the children Maurizio and Katia Balducci.   Mangusta begins his journey by immediately revolutionizing the world of yachting. The Mangusta 80 was launched in the 1990s. Until then, the "open" had never reached a length of 80 feet. The 80 was a resounding success, a model that has left a mark on history and that has made the brand known worldwide. Thus was born the concept of Maxi Open. In 2016 the first three bridges of the new Mangusta Oceano line are put into the water: displacement boats with great autonomy for those who want to travel the world in style, whatever the destination or the distance. The GranSport line has recently been added, boats that combine great performance and transoceanic autonomy.
