Cantiere SUNSEEKER
History
The history of the British shipyard Sunseeker began in 1969, when Robert Braithwaite started the production of boats designed by him. The first boat to be launched was the Sovereign 17, in 1971, immediately followed by the Sovereign 20. In 1972 the company was ready to participate in the Southampton Motor Show and to meet new customers. In the wake of this first success, the company was able to respond to the growing demand for pleasure boats, launching the Sport 23 and Daycab 23 models. At the end of the 70s, Sunseeker had a good sales volume, in England and in Northern Europe.
However, it still aimed to establish itself on the thriving Mediterranean market, and create boats with an ever-increasing style and performance, such as the Offshore 28, a new concept cruiser. In the 80s, Sunseeker shipyard managed to further differentiate itself from its competitors thanks to boats such as the Portofino 31 and the incredible Tomahawk 37. In the 90s, style became an even more important element for the shipyard, with the creation of models such as the Renegade 60 and Predator 80.
Starting in 2000, the Sunseeker shipyard further accelerates the pace, with the launch of models such as the 105 yacht, 131 Yacht. Today Sunseeker International can count on an efficient team of over 2,000 highly experienced designers, planners and craftsmen, supported by a large network of over 80 sales outlets and service centers, which allows it to export approximately 140 yachts every year in more than 45 countries.
