VOLVO 55 HP, FELCI/ROSEO, 3 CABINE, 1 WC, ELETTRONICA TRIDATA RAYMARINE ST60, BULBO IN PIOMBO, ALBERO MAGGIORATO CON DRIZZE IN DYNEMA, TANGONE IN CARBONIO, 06.6522258/9 – 348.2337257 – www.mediaship.it – C/2587/V

Modello COMET 50

The Comet 50 designed by Vallicelli Studio is an evolution of the previous version, from which it differs because of the maximum beam that is significantly extended towards the stern, larger internal spaces, and a sturdier feel. The hull and deck are built in sandwich technique, that is a synonym for solidity and lightweight. Among the highlights of the Comet 50 CL we find a dual cockpit, as well as the backward sundeck on the deckhouse, covered with teak. The excellent ratio between sail plan, hull lines, and displacement guarantee excellent sailing performances.

Cantiere COMAR YACHTS

With more than 5,000 units manufactured between the ‘70s and the ‘90s, COMAR YACHTS shipyard was at the forefront of the Italian boat-building scenario. The shipyard started by building sailboats between 7mt and 14mt designed by Finot studio. From the ‘80s we find several models designed by D. Peterson, Bruce Farr, Sergio Lupoli and Vallicelli studio. The latter also designed the Genesi 43, a cruiser with innovative designing and building choices, characterized by a central engine, as well as elegant and innovative deck design that highlights side decks. From 1996 on, the shipyard changed ownership and produced more than 1,200 units (from C21 monotype to the carbon-made Comet 103'), all characterized by handicraft production aimed at quality constructions, vinyl ester resins and external finishing in customized fine woods. The efforts of the new owners were rewarded by several international recognitions:
  • Yacht of the Year 2005 and 2006;
  • Best Design Award in 2006;
  • The Italian ORCi Championship in 2006;
  • The World ORCi Championship in 2008 (in Greece).
The shipyard also manufactured motor boat with Clanship brand.

Newsletter - COMET 50

The Comet 50 CL is a wonderful fast-cruiser designed by the Vallicelli studio and it represents the evolution from the previous version, from which it differs because of a more stern-projected full-beam, larger interior volumes and stiffer sails. The hull design guarantees excellent performances, as well as this model’s route stability. The Comet 50 CL has two separate cockpits, a teak-clad sundeck on the deckhouse, large side passageways with 4 accessed to the wide stern lockers and 2 smaller lockers on the cockpit’s raised edge. The excellent ration between the sail plan and the displacement of the Comet 50 CL, thanks to its sturdy abd light sandwich construction, can guarantee excellent sailing performances.
