The SLY 53 was refitted in 2021: hull and deckhouse were repainted, engine was disembarked and zero-timed, carbon boom and wheels were repainted, new skylights; she is also very well equipped with: carbon mast, boom and retractable bowsprit, retractable bow thruster, 3 jumbos, generator, diesel heating, electric jib furler, 4 electric winches, hydraulic mast jack, stern swim platform. SLY 53

The SLY 53 is a Fast Cruiser with an elegant and sporty design, curated by the famous Studio Lostuzzi; it is a boat in pure Sly style, i.e. with modern and aggressive lines, designed for fast cruising: open stern, no overdrafts, maximum beam set back to one third of the hull, very limited freeboards. The deck has a compact deckhouse which leaves room for a large foredeck. There is a harmonious combination of classic and innovative elements, even in the comfortable interiors with 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms with shower cubicle. The generous sail plan and efficient appendages, with carbon reinforced construction and particular attention to weight, guarantee high performance at any speed. Among the various details of the SLY 53 we mention the skylights and avv. trimming jib, German mainsheet below deck, retractable anchor, retractable carbon bowsprit, double wheelhouse, opening aft swimming platform and retractable cockpit table.

Full sails and hearts in a storm: Sly Yachts sails the seven seas following a new path

  The Italian brand Sly Yachts, specialized in the production of sailing boats, comes back sailing with a range of brand new models.  

The brand story

  Sly Yachts was founded in 2005 in Tuscany (Italy) and in 2010 the shipyard was acquired by the new company Sly Marine SRL owned by the Trevisani family. They take the brand to create a new boats production strong on its past tradition. The new property keeps the brand’s main values. The company’s CEO is Paolo Francia, who has an important nautical background.   The Trevisani family has a big passion for the nautical constructions and in 2013 they acquire also the Cantiere del Pardo from the German Group Bavaria Yachtbau. In this way they reunite two important and internationally appreciated sailing boats’ lines: Grand Soleil and Sly.  

The Sly Yachts new production

  The new Sly Marine’s production is about fast cruiser with elegant lines. These boats are fast and comfortable, perfect for long sea journeys.   Among the most famous Sly Yachts’ sailing boats there are:
  • The concept boat Sly 48;
  • Sly 42 Fun;
  • Sly 53.
