Twenty years of Italian nautical art and an International endless fame
Barberis was one of the most famous Italian shipyard
between the ’70s and the ‘80s, years in which it created some of most beautiful
sailing boats and motor yachts of all the times.
It is also famous to have been one of the first Italian shipyards to produce sailing boats for regattas and cruising.
The brand story
The Barberis story is linked to the Italian city of
La Spezia and to the name of
Giancarlo Barberis, who founded it.
In its twenty years of activity, the shipyard collaborated with important International nautical designers such as
Philippe Harlé and the revolutionary
Alain Jezequel, just to mention some of them.
Its boats and yachts sailed around the world. Some of them took part at the American Cup and achieved important sporting results which contributed to launch abroad the brand name.
Unfortunately, the shipyard was destroyed in the fire in 1987.
The production
At the very beginning, the Barberis' production was focused on the the motor yachts field. Then, it embraced the sailing boats’ industry too.

- Barberis 36: motor yacht
- Barberis 43: motor yacht
- Barberis Cruiser 31: motor yacht
- Sciacchetrà: sailing boat designed by Philippe Harlé. It is a little cabin cruiser whose name is taken from a famous Italian wine produced in the Cinque Terre land. This boat is versatile and comfortable , fast and easy to drive.
