Modello COMET 38
Comet 38
The COMET 38 is a very elegant fast cruiser, probably among the most elegant in its category, characterized by a classic design with the deckhouse well integrated into the deck. Interiors are made in American cherry and are very accurate and refined, with different interior solutions from two cabins and a bathroom to 3 cabins and two bathrooms with folding chart table and convertible into a berth. The water lines aimed at developing navigation comfort and offering adequate interior spaces.
Even the appendages of the Comet 38 are very up-to-date and guarantee good lift even at low speeds, having quite accentuated ropes and profiles. The deck equipment is very complete with Harken winches, the sail deck is generous and up-to-date with quartered spreaders that make it easy to manage and guarantee greater stability. The rudder wheel is of considerable size and allows you to sit upwind, for a good view of the bow even with the boat heeled. Above all, the construction is very solid with structures already increased by a 50 'such as the pivots and the steel plates of the keel and the plates.

Cantiere COMAR YACHTS
With more than 5,000 units manufactured between the ‘70s and the ‘90s, COMAR YACHTS shipyard was
at the forefront of the Italian boat-building scenario.
The shipyard started by building sailboats between 7mt and 14mt designed by
Finot studio.
From the ‘80s we find several models designed by
D. Peterson, Bruce Farr, Sergio Lupoli and Vallicelli studio.
The latter also designed the
Genesi 43, a cruiser with innovative designing and building choices, characterized by a central engine, as well as elegant and innovative deck design that highlights side decks.
From 1996 on, the shipyard changed ownership and produced
more than 1,200 units (from C21 monotype to the carbon-made Comet 103'), all characterized by handicraft production aimed at quality constructions, vinyl ester resins and external finishing in customized fine woods.
The efforts of the new owners were rewarded by several international recognitions:
- Yacht of the Year 2005 and 2006;
- Best Design Award in 2006;
- The Italian ORCi Championship in 2006;
- The World ORCi Championship in 2008 (in Greece).
The shipyard also manufactured
motor boat with Clanship brand.
