The Beneteau Sense 50 is a sheer Cruiser for Deck Saloon lovers, that offers a new concept in terms of livability aimed at eliminating the typical division of sailing boats between the volumes above and below deck. Layout and interior were designed by Nauta Design, that also designed vessels like the SW 102, whereas the naval architecture is the work of the Barret-Racoupeau studio.

From stern to bow, the Sense 50 will surprise guests with her organization of life on board, all based on a concept of simplicity & elegance. Furthermore, the hull of the Sense 50 significantly reduces the angle of heel while maintaining exceptional performance. Only three steps in a slight 45° inclination join the external and internal life on board the Sense 50, for a fluidity of circulation still unmatched on a monohull, maintaining an almost flush deck, with a wedge-shaped deckhouse slightly larger than that of a traditional sailing boat.

The interior of the Sense 50 is divided into two very distinct areas: aft, at the entrance, dinette and galley; forward, the sleeping area with the cabins. In the 2-cabin version, the boat also has a studio for the owner. The available spaces are exploited in an interesting way, thanks to the wide hull shapes and the low cockpit which develops in width rather than length. In fact, the full-beam dinette seems much larger thanks to the generous internal height, which amplifies the perception of the volumes, the abundance of windows and the alternation of light and dark shades chosen for the furnishings.

Cantiere BENETEAU

The historic French shipyard Bénéteau was founded in 1884 in Croix de Vie by Benjamin Bénéteau. At the very beginning, the shipyard manufactured fishing boats called chalutiers. Since the ‘60s, the shipyard started to produce pleasure boats and it has now become the undisputed world leader in the manufacture of sailboats, as well as one of the top five manufacturers of motor yachts in th world. In the 90s, a business strategy aimed at acquiring several important shipyards led to the creation of Bénéteau Group. Among the most prestigious acquisitions we find the following brands: CNB (production of yachts between 60’ and 94’); Jeanneau (sailboats); Prestige line (motor yachts) Lagoon (very famous brands for catamarans) and Monte Carlo Yachts (motor yachts between 65’ and 105’).
