History
Pershing Yachts, a company that has come to epitomize “Made in Italy” quality, has its roots in the friendship of three talented Italians who shared a passion for boating and the sea. From its modest beginnings through its current incarnation as a member of the prestigious Ferretti Group, Pershing’s superior performance, top quality materials and luxurious interiors garnered it a worldwide reputation for excellence. Pershing continues to grow as a prominent brand of high-end motor yachts, delivering a taste of Italian indulgence to yacht lovers around the world. In 1981, Tilli Antonelli, Fausto Filippetti, and Giuliano Onori pooled their talent and creativity to found Cantieri Navali dell’Adriatico in the small town of Mondolfo, Italy, introducing their first boat within a year. They started by producing laminate boats but became intrigued by the possibilities offered by motor yachts. At that time, motor yachts were designed to deliver the utmost in luxury and comfort with little attention given to power. The trio decided to combine the lavishness of motor yachts with the power of speedboats. With the help of gifted yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in 1985 Pershing Yachts was launched. The first Pershing vessel, a 45′ open yacht, successfully embodied their vision, delivering power and speed in a sumptuous package. Pershing’s continuing commitment to innovation led to growing demand in a wider market. During the early 1990s the company gained worldwide popularity, expanding their market to include Mediterranean countries, the United States, and the Far East. In 1998 the company joined the Ferretti Group, a leading enterprise in the luxury yacht sector, in a move that has increased Pershing’s presence in the American marketplace. The company’s inspired creations have garnered it multiple awards for creativity and innovation, and today it continues as one of the leading brands worldwide in the production of luxurious high performance motor yachts, with models ranging from 50 to 115 feet in length.Visits from 27 January 2020: 2,337
