Shipyard SESSA MARINE
History
Sessa Marine was founded in 1958 by Camillo Braga, among the first ones to introduce phenolic powder and polyester resin plants in Italy. The nautical division was created in 1968 thanks to his daughter Raffaella Braga Radice, in order to stimulate product differentiation. In ‘70s saw the first small boats started to be manufactured in Sessa Aurunca’s plant, then a second factory in Cinisiello Balsamo was added.
Subsequently, Arcore plant was purchased in 1972 and, a year later, Sessa was the first Italian company to install the new Piaggio jets and to build the first small inboard jet units. From the mid ‘80s, Sessa Marine shipyard began to build larger boats and the historic Mambo, Samba and Sunshine models were replaced by the new Key Largo, Oyster and Key West ranges.
In the 1990s, the production plant was expanded, and Sessa America branch in Florida was opened in 2006. In 2009, the KEY LARGO 36 won the "Boat of the year 2009" award, sponsored by Motor Boating USA Magazine. In 2015, Sessa Marine becomes Sessa International, while in 2017 the new flagship 21m Gullwing fly was launched, followed in 2018 by new Key Largo, Cruiser and Yacht models.
