The Grand Soleil 37 is a Cruiser-Racer designed by Botin & Carkeek studio, that with this model was able to create a great blend of marine performances and the typical livability needs of a Cruiser-Racer. The project of the Grand Soleil 37 retakes some of the most consolidated IMS elements, such as the slim bow (vertical right ahead and semi-emerged wheel, as well as a backward maximum beam. The sail area is very well balanced and the Grand Soleil 37 has two different sail plans: Cruising/IMS version with 82 sqm upwind and an 86.5 sqm spi, as well as a racing/IRC version with 86 sqm upwind and a 95 sqm spi. On deck, the most appreciated quality is ergonomics; the large cockpit allows for a handling without hindrance, moreover it offers six comfortable and protected seats. Deck equipment is made by Harken. The Grand Soleil 37 is sensitive and responsive at the wheel. The position of the helmsman is very comfortable and the lowered plan on the sprayhood offers an ergonomic seating and an overall view of the mainsail luff. The Grand Soleil 37 was manufactured in two versions: one with 2 cabins and a bathroom equipped with separated shower booth, and another with 3 cabins and a smaller toilette, both with spacious storage volumes. The wide bow cabin is equipped with a double bed (width: 170 cms), 2 facing wardrobes and an ample vestibule.
